The story takes limit during a succession when married couple was very sacred. Alcee is riding his long horse near Calixtas inhabitancy when a bad force approaches and he essential undertake shelter. Calixta husband and son are in town and must stay at a country store until the storm passes over. While Alcee is at Calixta lieu waiting out the storm, tautness arises between the two cause lovers which cause Calixta to commit adultery. later on they make love and the storm is over, he rides off, and both of them act as if cipher had happened. Calixta is a bad person because she everyowed her former lover in her pedestal, committed adultery, and showed no remorse.
